Death Angel is a Filipino-American thrash metal band from Concord, California. Active initially from 1982 to 1991 and again since 2001, the band has helped define the sound of thrash metal with a technical and aggressive approach. Among their most important albums are "The Ultra-Violence" (1986), considered a classic of the genre, and "Act III" (2004), which marked a triumphant return after the hiatus. Death Angel is known for intense live performances and the charisma of Rob Cavestany, founding guitarist and leader of the band.
