Samuele Esaltato is an Italian singer-songwriter, musician, and actor from Rome. He started playing the guitar during his adolescence, studying both independently and at music academies. In 2017, he trained in acting, stage movement, diction, and character study at the “Scuola di Imprenditori di Sogni” directed by Sergio Basile. His musical influences come from Italian songwriting, with artists like Fabrizio De André, Francesco Guccini, Giorgio Gaber, Lucio Dalla, and Ivan Graziani among his main references. His guitar technique, however, draws inspiration from international hard rock and blues musicians such as Gary Moore, Eric Clapton, Rory Gallagher, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Chuck Berry, JJ Cale, B.B. King, Freddie King, Robert Johnson, Buddy Guy, and Albert Collins. After several experiences in theater, music, and acting, in 2020 he released his first single, “Un Maledetto”, inspired by Charles Baudelaire's poetry collection “Les Fleurs du Mal”. In 2022, he followed up with “Lupo della Steppa”, a song that reflects on human nature, freely inspired by Herman Hesse's masterpiece. With this track, Esaltato invites us to meditate on the inability to seek inner stimuli and offers a realistic glimpse into emotional inertia and the resulting sterility, encouraging listeners to take control of their lives starting with the freedom to be themselves.
