Classe 1976, Cantautore, Ufficiale dell'Esercito, mezzo orvietano e mezzo romano, Sampaolo cresce a Roma e si avvicina alla musica dalla scuola fra la fine degli anni'80 e i primi '90. Nel 1998, a Torino, pubblica, in maniera indipendente, i primi due album con il progetto Quinta Istanza del quale era voce, chitarra e produttore. A Udine, dal 2002, partecipa alla scena musicale friulana con il gruppo Birragratis. Tornato a Roma dopo 10 anni di peregrinazioni in Italia e all'estero, incide un EP (promenade) con l'etichetta SiFaRe e, subito dopo, si unisce alla band blues The Johnny's Band come voce e compositore raggiungendo diversi riconoscimenti (Metropolitan Blues Summit 2009 fra gli altri) e partecipando per tre edizioni consecutive al Villa Celimontana Jazz Festival, pubblicando l'EP Johnny Blue. Nel 2010 fonda il duo Brigitte Bordeaux, chitarra/voce e batteria, e gira in lungo e in largo l'Italia come Busker in numerosissimi festival e locali pubblicando nel 2016 l'album Padri e Figli. Nel 2018 comincia a ragionare sul suo progetto solista, anche grazie all'amicizia con Luca Carocci, ora suo produttore, facendo uscire il singolo "Una Scritta Sul Muro" (2018) e, con Luca, Compleanno al Pigneto (2021) che in poco tempo riceve migliaia di visualizzazioni. A Orvieto è fra i 4 fondatori del progetto Folk Panda, Officina Cantautori, format culturale che promuove chi scrive canzoni.
