Les Nubians sono un duo R and B francese composto dalle sorelle Helene e Celia Faussart. Nato a Parigi nel 1970, il gruppo si è trasferito con i genitori al Ciad nel 1985 per poi tornare a Bordeaux sette anni dopo. Iniziarono la loro carriera cantando a cappella, partecipando a slam di poesia a Bordeaux e Parigi e offrendo cori per vari artisti internazionali. Nel 1998 firmarono un contratto con la Virgin Records France e pubblicarono il loro album di debutto, "Princesses Nubiennes". Il loro sound è caratterizzato da influenze afro-latine, jazz e soul, con testi che esplorano temi di femminilità, identità e libertà. Les Nubians hanno ricevuto una nomination ai Grammy Awards nel 2001 per l'album "Les Nubians", considerato uno dei più importanti del genere R and B francese.
