C’è una storia dentro un vecchio libro di avventure
trovato in riva al mare un secolo fa,
dove si racconta di com’era il mondo
prima della fine dell’umanità…
C’erano tutte le stagioni a colorare il cielo
il pane era buono, il vino più sincero.
La gente si inchinava davanti alla bellezza,
un girotondo in festa e la luna spunterà.
Soffiava sui papaveri il vento caldo dell’estate
e sui vigneti rossi ad Arbajà l’autunno era arrivato già…
E sul mare echeggiavano i canti di sirene
a gonfiare le vele dei vecchi marinai.
Eroi illuminati di forte e grande ingegno
reggevano il governo di splendide città.
Ed il gran gelo dell’inverno ricopriva tutti i loro sogni,
e il primo fiore giallo ad Arbajà ed era primavera…
E chissà com’è accaduto, perché tutto è finito,
l’umanità è sparita, non è tornata più.
A noi rimane il mito di questa grande storia,
bellezza e memoria, la nuova Atlantide.
Roberto Michelangelo Giordi is an Italian singer-songwriter and writer from Naples, who lives between Paris and Rome. A graduate of Mogol's CET, he has dedicated himself to the study of Neapolitan literary tradition and the relationship between music and text in both traditional and contemporary songwriting. His musical production spans genres such as Italian songwriting and folk, with influences from various musical cultures. He has released four albums: *Con il mio nome* (2011), *Il soffio* (2015), *Les amants de Magritte* (2017) and *Il sogno di Partenope* (2019). The last two were also released in France. In 2019, he was a finalist for the Tenco Award in the best interpreter category with the album *Il sogno di Partenope*. In his work, Giordi explores themes such as nostalgia for his hometown, human relationships and a sense of belonging. Among his most representative songs are: *Napoli*, *La mia casa*, *Les amants de Magritte* and *Il sogno di Partenope*.
