A.N.I.M.A.L., acronym for "Acosados Nuestros Indios Murieron Al Luchar" (Harassed, Our Indians Died While Fighting), was an Argentine groove metal band active from 1989 to 2007. Considered one of the most important bands in the genre in Argentina, A.N.I.M.A.L. managed to combine heavy metal sounds with Latin and South American rhythms. Their musical style is characterized by heavy riffs, catchy melodies and political lyrics that address themes such as the fight for indigenous rights and social oppression.
