Marco Benati, in arte Benna, è un cantautore italiano nato a Carpi (MO) il 7 ottobre 1981. Appassionato di musica fin da giovanissimo, ha partecipato a diverse band che spaziano dal grunge al punk, dall'hip hop al crossover. Nel 2017 decide di intraprendere la carriera solista, unendo cantautorato e rap, stili che lo hanno sempre affascinato. Nel 2017 pubblica il suo primo album, "Al Lupo!", caratterizzato da atmosfere cupe e sonorità elettroniche. Dall'album sono stati estratti i singoli "Paroleperdenti", "Iene vs licantropi" e "Lord of the ring". Nel 2018 collabora con Asmodee Italia per l'evento "Play Modena", realizzando il brano "#ViAsmo". Il suo secondo album, "Il pirata che ha trovato loro", esce nel 2019, contenente i singoli "Attimi di pensione", "Saetta McQueen" e "Giochiamo". Da quel momento inizia a collaborare con il produttore Mirino e l'artista Nicholas Manfredini. Nel 2020 pubblica "L'insegnamento dell'asino", terzo album full length, originariamente composto da 13 tracce, poi pubblicato con 15 pezzi, inclusi un remix di Mirino e il singolo "M'innamoro di tutto" in feat. con Nicholas Manfredini. L'album è stato preceduto dai singoli "Noah", in duetto con uno dei suoi figli, e "Il mio vestito nuovo". Nel 2021 pubblica "Perenne", una ballata dedicata ai suoi figli, seguita da "Santa Musica", un brano dedicato alla musica, in feat. con Nicholas Manfredini, e "La cosa più bella che ho visto". Benna è un cantastorie dei giorni nostri, un "rappastorie" che scrive e canta per dare voce a chi non ne ha.
