Pensiero Nomade is the musical project created by Sicilian multi-instrumentalist Salvo Lazzara, who has made Rome his home. His musical background draws from influences of British pop rock, new wave and electronic dark wave. In 1991, his passion for progressive music led him to found Germinale, one of the most acclaimed Italian prog bands of the '90s, authors of three albums and featured on numerous tribute compilations. After his experience with Germinale, Lazzara moved to Rome where he studied jazz and improvisation with Fabio Zeppetella and Umberto Fiorentino. It was here that Pensiero Nomade was born, a musical project characterized by a nomadic approach to sonic exploration, delving into timbres, rhythms and sound derivations. His influences range from ethnic traditions to electronic contaminations (Sakamoto, David Sylvian, Fennesz), with jazz references like Oregon, Steve Tibbetts and Terje Rypdal. His debut album "Per questi ed altri naufragi" was released in 2008 for AMS Records. Subsequent albums followed for Dodiciliune, Zone di Musica and finally Filibusta Records, with whom he released his seventh work, "Un cerchio perfetto", a return to his roots.
