Forgotten Tomb è una band italiana di blackened doom metal formatasi a Piacenza nel 1999. Il loro sound, caratterizzato da atmosfere cupe e melodie malinconiche, ha subito influenze da artisti come Katatonia, Burzum e Dolorian. Le tematiche affrontate nei testi sono principalmente legate alla depressione, al suicidio e all'angoscia esistenziale. Herr Morbid (Ferdinando Marchisio), fondatore, chitarrista e vocalist della band, si descrive pubblicamente come una persona profondamente depressa, paranoica e ossessionata dal suicidio. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "The Serpent", "When All the Laughter Has Gone" e "A Shadow of My Former Self". L'album di debutto "Songs from the Shadows" (2001) ha segnato l'inizio di una carriera musicale caratterizzata da un sound oscuro e introspettivo.
