Gorillaz is a collaborative musical project by Damon Albarn, frontman of the band Blur, and artist Jamie Hewlett, creator of Tank Girl. The project features four animated characters: 2D, Murdoc, Noodle, and Russel, who make up a virtual hip-hop band.
