David Carreira, born David Araújo Antunes, is a Portuguese singer of French origin. Born in Paris in 1989, he moved to Portugal at the age of five. He began his musical career as a contestant on the television talent show «Ídolos», finishing second in the 2007 season. After the success of the program, he signed a record deal with Universal Music Portugal and released his debut album, «David Carreira», in 2008. The album went platinum in Portugal thanks to the hit single «A Minha Música». Carreira established himself as one of the most popular singers in Portugal, with music ranging from pop to rock and R and B. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists such as Ana Moura and Salvador Sobral. Some of his most important albums include «Coração de Papel» (2013) and «A Vida é Uma Festa» (2017). Among his most representative songs are: «A Minha Música», «O Que Eu Quero É Você», «Não Me Deixes Ir».
