The Kovenant are a Norwegian musical group formed in 1993. Initially known for their symphonic black metal style, characterized by dark atmospheres and orchestral melodies, they later incorporated elements of industrial metal into their sound, creating a darker and more electronic aesthetic while retaining their black metal roots. The band changed their name from Covenant to The Kovenant in 1997 to avoid confusion with another Swedish group of the same name.
