Velcra è un gruppo musicale finlandese di heavy metal e musica elettronica formatosi nel 1999. La loro musica presenta voci femminili (sia pulite che distorte) su uno sfondo di chitarre pesantemente distorte e ritmi marziali con un uso massiccio di loop campionati e potrebbe essere definita industrial metal o rap-metal. Hanno presto firmato per Virgin Records per pubblicare un CD completo. Nel 2002, Velcra ha pubblicato il loro album di debutto, *Consequences of Disobedience*. I singoli "Can't Stop Fighting" e "My Law" hanno aiutato la band a raggiungere il numero 5 nella classifica finlandese. Velcra ha anche pubblicato singoli per le canzoni "Big Brother" e "Test Animals". Nel 2005, la band ha pubblicato il secondo album completo, *Between Force and Fate*, e il singolo "Our Will Against Their Will" ha raggiunto il numero 3 nella classifica finlandese. Da allora, la band ha realizzato altri due video musicali, uno per "Memory Loss" e uno per "The Bong Song". *Between Force and Fate* è diverso da *Consequences of Disobedience* perché la band ha abbandonato completamente i ritornelli pop orecchiabili dalla loro musica. A giugno 2006, il batterista Mikko Herranen ha lasciato la band per concentrarsi sulla sua altra band RUST. Il 30 maggio 2007 Velcra ha pubblicato il terzo album *Hadal* in Finlandia e su iTunes. Video di "Quick and Dirty" e "Dusk Becomes a Dawn" sono stati rilasciati nel 2007. Quest'ultima canzone è stata anche pubblicata come singolo. All'inizio del 2008, Tomi Koivusaari ha lasciato la band e Timo Hanninen si è unito al gruppo.
