Oh blue sky you got something on me
Oh red wood such a mystery
Oh honeysuckle just as sweet as can be
So green field won't you comfort me.
Comfort me
Seven days I felt this emptiness
In the darkness I can't get no rest
Well I cried all night I must confess
As for why I couldn't even guess.
I'm so distressed
Now I hear those Ancient Voices,
words of wisdom,
music to my ears,
and all around me I can feel the loving soul that brought me here.
Things are looking better.
Things are looking better.
Mother now I'm in your hands,
Halt my crying if you can,
Cause I'm lost and I don't have a plan
I'm so sick inside I just don't understandI just don't understand, but
Now I hear those ancient voices,
words of wisdom,
music to my ears,
and all around me I can feel the loving soul that brought me here.
Things are looking better.
Things are looking better.
(SOLO)
Now I hear those ancient voices,
words of wisdom,
music to my ears,
and all around me I can feel the loving soul that brought me here.
Things are looking better.
Things are looking better.
Things are looking better.
Gabe Dixon Band is a three-piece band that was formed in the fall of 1998 at the University of Miami. Their music is piano-driven rock akin to Ben Folds Five with a more serious tone, Jackson Browne and early 70s Elton John. The band worked with producer/engineer Eddie Kramer on their independently released debut album, More Than It Would Seem, in 1999. They relocated to New York City after graduation and were signed to Reprise by David Kahne. After Dixon respectfully declined the keyboard position on the Paul McCartney world tour to instead focus on production of the band's major label debut, On A Rolling Ball was released in 2002.

My favorite group when I was just a teenager were the Fugees, thanks to them a certain curiosity about english language was born in me. I wanted to know and understand the lyrics of their songs, it wasn't enough for me to be carried away exclusively by their beautiful music.
