¡No seas otario!
Amurá esas milongas del Tabarís...
Con tres cortes de tango sos millonario...
¡Morocho y argentino! ¡Rey de París!"
¡Araca París!
¡Salute París!
Rajá de Montmartre,
piantate, infeliz.
Si vas a París
no vas a morfar:
no hay minas otarias
y hay que laburar.
Volvete p'al barrio
y tendrás milongas;
milongas diqueras
que saben amar.
¡Araca París!
¡Salute París!
Rajá de Montmartre;
piantate, infeliz.
Julio Maria Sosa Venturini (February 2, 1926 – November 26, 1964), known simply as Julio Sosa or El Varon del Tango, was an Uruguayan tango singer. Considered one of the greatest interpreters of Argentine tango, Sosa captivated audiences with his warm and powerful voice, capable of expressing with intensity the emotions that characterize this musical genre. Born in Montevideo, Sosa began his artistic career in the 1940s, performing in nightclubs in the city. In 1953 he moved to Buenos Aires, where he achieved international success. Among his most famous songs are "El día que me quieras", "La cumparsita" and "Por una cabeza". Sosa collaborated with some of the greatest tango musicians from Argentina, such as Osvaldo Pugliese and Juan D'Arienzo. His career was tragically cut short by his death in 1964 at the age of 38.
