What was my arm worth
When they took it away
And the spirit had rush upset
All of 'em promised to stay
Where did they put it, Bella
Where and which way
Did it start the man charged at me
And I'm in vain
Or is it with my brother
Is it with my brother
And I mean in this grave
Tell me
Where
Tell me
Where do I go to find it
What is my arm's way
In a balance of things
Are there still birds a-flying
In a brushing of wings
Or could it still be disguised
As a terrible thing
And spoiling all them singing, Babe
And smashing up their wings
Wish I could go with them brother
Brother of all things
It's only a stub of the original thing
It was there when I signed
When I saluted my king
Tell me
Where
Tell me
Where do I go to find it
Captain Beyond was an American rock band active between 1972 and 1973. The group consisted of Rod Evans (vocals), Larry "Rhino" Reinhardt (guitar), Lee Dorman (bass) and Bobby Caldwell (drums). Evans had been the singer for Deep Purple during the recording of their debut album, which included the hit "Hush". Reinhardt and Dorman had played with Iron Butterfly, while Caldwell had collaborated with Johnny Winter. The band's self-titled debut album was released in 1972. After this record, Caldwell left the group to join Derringer and was replaced by Brian Glascock on drums. Reese Wynans (Double Trouble) joined as keyboardist and Guille Garcia as percussionist. During the recording of their second album, "Sufficiently Breathless", Evans left the band due to internal tensions. The original lineup reunited for a US tour in 1973, but the group disbanded at the end of the year. Among Captain Beyond's most representative songs are "Farther On", "Mesmerize" and "Lady of the Lake".
