Braungebrannt wie'n Hottentott;

Biografia

Hans Albers (Berlin, March 28, 1897 – Munich, July 16, 1970) was a German actor and singer, considered one of the biggest stars of German cinema between 1930 and 1945. Born in Berlin to a humble family, Albers began his career as a singer in nightclubs before moving to theater. In 1928 he landed his first film role, but it was with the 1930 film *Die Drei von der Tankstelle* that he conquered the German public. Albers quickly became a national idol thanks to his charismatic stage presence and powerful voice. During the 1930s, he starred in numerous musical comedy successes, often collaborating with the famous actress Zarah Leander. After the rise of Nazism, Albers continued to act in films promoting the regime, but always maintained a relatively low profile. After World War II, Albers retired from cinema and dedicated himself to music, recording several successful albums. He died in Munich in 1970 at the age of 73. Among his most famous songs are *Ich bin ein Berliner*, *Das Lied der Liebe* and *Die Drei von der Tankstelle*.
