Patti Austin is an American singer of pop, jazz and R and B, born in New York in 1954. Daughter of musician Floyd Austin, Patti began her musical career at the age of seven singing in a gospel choir. Throughout the 1970s she collaborated with artists such as Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson, contributing to the realization of some of their most famous albums. In 1981 she achieved international success with the song "Baby, Come to Me", performed as a duet with James Ingram and produced by Quincy Jones. The song topped the US charts and earned her a Grammy Award in 2008, after nine nominations. Besides this great success, Patti Austin has released numerous high-quality albums, demonstrating her artistic versatility and vocal talent. Among her most representative songs are "You're My Everything", "The Way You Make Me Feel" and "It's Time for Love".
