Jamiroquai is an English funk-pop band formed in 1992 by Jay Kay. Considered a group with a unique sound influenced by jazz, funk and soul, Jamiroquai achieved great international success in the 1990s and 2000s. Their musical style is characterized by driving rhythms, catchy melodies and often ironic or philosophical lyrics. Jay Kay, known for his eccentric hats and charismatic stage presence, is the only permanent member of the group, although over the years they have collaborated with numerous musicians. Among Jamiroquai's most famous songs are "Virtual Insanity", "Canned Heat" and "Cosmic Girl".
