Porno for Pyros was an American alternative rock band formed in 1992. The band consisted of members from Jane's Addiction: Perry Farrell (vocals), Stephen Perkins (drums) alongside Peter DiStefano (guitar) and Martyn LeNoble (bass). After the success of Jane's Addiction, the four musicians decided to explore new sounds, blending elements of alternative rock, funk and psychedelia. Their sound was characterized by powerful guitar riffs, syncopated rhythms and introspective lyrics that addressed themes such as sexuality, spirituality and social alienation. Their self-titled debut album, "Porno for Pyros", released in 1993, achieved commercial success and received positive reviews from critics. The single "Pets" became a radio hit, helping to introduce the band to a wider audience. After two studio albums, Porno for Pyros disbanded in 1996. Perry Farrell resumed his career with Jane's Addiction, while the remaining members collaborated with other artists.
