Some bleed too much
Some things are touched
Take the time to fix yourself all up
Taking time helps with your luck
You can bleed on the other hand
Talking' makes an easy chair a friend
Crawlin' places just to stand
You can feed your mouth a plan
Some bleed too much
I've seen it flood
You can set yourself on fire
Burning's good when you're burnin' wood
It tastes the same with an overbite
Breathing makes it easy to deny
It sure is fun to sing about life
How much longer can this last?
My tooth is loose
Tripping Daisy was a neo-psychedelic pop rock band formed in Dallas, Texas, USA in 1990 by lead singer/guitarist Tim DeLaughter. The founding members included Jeff Bouck on drums, Wes Berggren on guitar and Mark Pirro on bass. The band achieved moderate success in the 1990s with their sound characterized by catchy melodies, psychedelic riffs and introspective lyrics. Among Tripping Daisy's most notable songs are "I Get Along", "Black Hole Sun" (a cover of Soundgarden) and "The Ballad of the Sad Young Man". After a series of independent albums, the band signed with Interscope Records in 1997. Their debut album for the label, "I Am a Killer", was a commercial success, but the band disbanded shortly after. Tim DeLaughter went on to continue his musical career with the project The Polyphonic Spree.
