Verdient sein Brot - na ja -mit Brot.
3 Uhr morgens - ganz exakt -
er Semmeln macht, die sehr gefragt
zum Frühstück oder für´s Büro
und für das Gulasch sowieso!
Doch heute ist er nicht am Damm,
weil er direkt vom Biere kam.
Er temperiert den Ofen vor
und wärmt sich kurz das Lehrlingsohr.
Da kommt der Meister in die Stube -
Im Trog, da ruht der Bäckerbube -
Bis dahin war die Welt noch heil

Der Meister sagt zum Lehrbub Rudl:
"Red mir keinen Topfenstrudel! -
sonst semmel ich dir eine drüber -
Schwarzbrot - Weisbrot - was wär lieber?"
Sauerteigig meint der Knabe,
ob er nicht etwas weich´res habe -
denn der Bims in Bäckershand seit Wochen keinen Käufer fand
"So ein Krapfen wär mir recht
Die Gulatsche - auch nicht schlecht"
Da beides ihn nicht schmerzen möcht´.

DIE Welt ist nur mehr halb so heil
bei Bimsemann und Roggenkeil
Dem Chefe walkt sich das Gedärm und
geht so hoch wie ein st die Germ
Darauf focht man im Duett
Ein hurtiges Baguet-Florett.
Das Brioche-Kipferl als Geschoss
Wird Bimsemann so leicht nicht los:
Es kehrt zurück als Boomerang
Zu Bimsemannes Samenstrang!
Schmerzgebeugt und wütend rot
greift er sich das Osterbrot,
das unweit im Regale lag,
dabei ist erst Gründonnerstag!
