Shihad is a New Zealand rock band formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1988. The group, consisting of Jon Toogood (vocals), Phil Knight (guitar), Karl Kippenberger (bass) and Tom Larkin (drums), achieved considerable popularity in New Zealand with a sound characterized by grunge and alternative rock influences.
