Bring it on home to me (live )

Somebody have mercy on me
Somebody have mercy on me right now
Beginnin' to feel alright now
Lord have mercy
I said I'm beginnin' to feel alright now
I feel like I can tell you 'bout my baby right now
Ha Ha, I said I feel your in the mood
For me to tell you 'bout my baby right now

Sometimes me and my baby
We fuss and fight
And my baby leave home
'Cause things ain't right
Ha Ha, Oh but I get the feeling
So all alone, and I call my baby
On the telephone
I finally get somebody on the telephone
And I say who is this
Somebody say this is the operator
I say I don't want you operator
I want my baby
Oh, operator
I want my baby, ha

And finally the operator get my baby on the telephone
And as soon the minute I hear my baby say hello
Something start to move down inside me, ha
And I said I got a message for ya honey
I wanna tell you that darling you
Oh, you send me
That's what I want to tell you, baby
Oh, you
Oh, you send me
Oh, you
Oh, you send me
Lord have mercy
Ha ha ha
Oh, ha ha
Oh, honest you do
And I tell her listen right here, baby
I want you to listen to this song right here for me

Got to tell ya how I feel right now
This song gon' tell you how I feel
I know ya been gone away for me long time
But listen, baby

If you ever
Change your mind
About leavin'
Leavin' me behind
Oh, Bring it to me
Bring your sweet lovin'
Bring it on home to me
Yeah Yeah, I gotta tell ya this baby

Don't you know that I laughed
Ha ha ha
When you left
Oh, But I know
That I only hurt myself
Oh, why don't you bring it to me
Bring that good lovin', baby
Bring it on home to me
Yeah Yeah
Listen I gotta be a man to tell you this, honey look

I'd give you jewelry
I'd give you some of that money too
But listen
Oh, that ain't all
That ain't all Sam will do for you
All ya got to do is bring it to me
Bring that good lovin', baby
Bring it on home to me
I gotta tell you this 'cause this ones important
Listen to me

Don't you know I'll always
I'll always be your slave, ha ha
Till I'm buried
Buried in my grave
But while I'm livin'

Bring it to me
Bring that good lovin', baby
Bring it on home to me
One more thing I gotta tell ya
Listen to me right now

You know that I tried
To treat you right
What did you do
Oh, you stayed out
You just stayed out late at night
I don't care who you was with

Bring it to me
Bring all that good lovin', baby
Bring it on

Everybody's with me
Everybody's with me tonight
Look, listen

Let me hear you say yeah! (YEAH!)
Yeah! (YEAH!)
Yeah! If your with me! (YEAH!)
Yeah! (YEAH!)
Say yeah! (YEAH!)
Yeah! (YEAH!)
Oh yeah!

Oh, bring it to me
Bring that good lovin'
That's how I want you to do it for me
I want you to do that for me one more time
You gotta do that for me one more time, huh?

Let me hear you say yeah! (YEAH!)
Yeah! (YEAH!)
Yeah! (YEAH!)
Yeah !(YEAH!)
Say yeah! (YEAH!)
Yeah! (YEAH!)
Oh yeah!

Oh, Bring it to me
Ha ha, I better leave that alone
And bring it on home to me
Yeah, Bring it to me
Bring it on home
Bring it on home
To me
Bring it on home to me baby

Biografia

Sam Cooke (1931-1964) was a legendary American singer, songwriter, and record producer, considered one of the pioneers of soul music. Born in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Cooke began his musical career singing gospel in his local church. In 1957, he signed with Saratoga Records, releasing hits like "You Send Me" which made him a pop star. Cooke then founded his own record label, The Soul Stirrers, continuing to record highly successful gospel songs. Throughout the 1960s, Cooke established himself as one of the greatest soul artists with albums like "Ain't That Good News" and "Live at the Harlem Square Club", characterized by captivating melodies and deeply emotional lyrics. His rich and powerful vocal style, his musical sensitivity, and his songs that addressed social issues such as racial equality made him a cultural icon of great significance. Cooke was assassinated in 1964 at the age of 33, leaving an unfillable void in American music.
