Nana Caymmi, pseudonimo di Dinahir Tostes Caymmi (Salvador, 1934 – Rio de Janeiro, 2018), è stata una cantante brasiliana considerata una delle più espressive artiste musicali del suo paese per le sue sofisticate interpretazioni. Figlia del celebre compositore e musicista brasileiro Dorival Caymmi, Nana ha ereditato la passione per la musica fin da bambina. Iniziò a cantare in pubblico all'età di 16 anni, esibendosi nei locali di Salvador. Nel 1957 si trasferì a Rio de Janeiro, dove iniziò a collaborare con importanti musicisti brasiliani come Baden Powell e Vinicius de Moraes. La sua voce calda e melodiosa, unita alla sua sensibilità interpretativa, la portarono rapidamente al successo. Nana Caymmi ha inciso numerosi album di grande successo, tra cui "Nana Caymmi" (1960), "Aquarela Brasileira" (1963) e "O Canto da Sereia" (1972). Tra i suoi brani più rappresentativi ricordiamo "Samba de Uma Nota Só", "Manhã de Carnaval" e "Rosa Morena". La sua musica ha attraversato generazioni, influenzando molti artisti brasiliani e internazionali.
