Clock DVA is an Industrial music, Post-punk and EBM group from Sheffield, England. Formed in 1978 by Adi Newton and Steven "Judd" Turner, the group's name was inspired by the Russian-influenced Nadsat of Anthony Burgess' *A Clockwork Orange*, where «dva» means «two». Before Clock DVA, Adi Newton collaborated with members of Cabaret Voltaire in the collective The Studs and with Ian Craig Marsh and Martyn Ware in the band The Future. The latter went on to form The Human League. Clock DVA has made a significant contribution to the British industrial music scene of the 1980s, characterized by electronic sounds, pulsating rhythms and often provocative lyrics. Among the most representative tracks are «The Only Way Is Up», «I'm Not Your Man» and «Black Leather».
