Dinah Shore, stage name of Frances Rose Shore (Winchester, February 29, 1916 – Beverly Hills, February 24, 1994), was an American singer, actress, and television personality. Considered one of the most beloved voices of the Big Band era, between the 1940s and 1950s, she achieved fame thanks to her warm and melodious voice, her charisma, and her ability to interpret romantic and popular songs with great sensitivity. ???? She collaborated with important orchestras such as those of Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey, recording classics like "Buttons and Bows", "I'll Be Seeing You" and "Blues in the Night". Besides music, Shore acted in numerous films and television programs, solidifying her status as an international star. Her career was marked by constant success for over three decades, until her retirement from the stage in the 1980s.
