Marty Stuart (born John Martin Stuart) is an American country singer, guitarist, and musician born in Philadelphia, Mississippi, in 1958. Considered one of the greatest interpreters of bluegrass and traditional country music, Stuart began his career at age 13 as a member of Lester Flatt's band. He has collaborated with artists such as Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Travis Tritt, influencing generations of contemporary country musicians.
