Junoon is a Sufi rock band from Lahore, Pakistan, formed in 1990. The group is led by founder, guitarist and songwriter Salman Ahmad, who was soon joined by keyboardist Nusrat Hussain and vocalist Ali Azmat. Since their inception, the group has released a collective total of sixteen albums: seven studio albums; one soundtrack; two live albums; three video albums; and three compilations. Junoon is considered one of the most influential rock bands in Pakistan, with a sound that blends traditional Sufi elements with modern rock sonorities. Their lyrics often deal with themes of love, spirituality and social justice. Among their most representative songs are "Jazba-e-Junoon", "Sayonee" and "Afreen Afreen".
