Ivano Fossati (Genova, 27 maggio 1951) è un cantautore, musicista e compositore italiano. Considerato uno dei cantautori più importanti della musica italiana degli anni '80 e '90, Fossati si distingue per la sua poetica introspettiva, le melodie orecchiabili e l'uso di arrangiamenti originali che mescolano elementi folk, rock e jazz. Iniziò la sua carriera negli anni '70 con il gruppo Delirium, ma raggiunse il successo come solista a partire dal 1982 con l'album "Mio Fratello Che Guardi il Mondo". Tra i suoi album più importanti ricordiamo "Musica Moderna" (1984), "La Pianta del Te" (1987) e "Buontempo - Concerto Vol. 1" (1990). Fossati ha collaborato con numerosi artisti, tra cui Lucio Dalla, Francesco De Gregori e Roberto Vecchioni. Alcuni dei suoi brani più celebri sono: "Mio Fratello Che Guardi il Mondo", "La Pianta del Te", "Musica Moderna", "Il Tempo che Non C'è" e "Buontempo".
