Fausto Papetti (1935-2017) was an Italian composer, arranger, and conductor of light music. Born in Rome, he began his career as a pianist in nightclubs before dedicating himself to composing for film and television. Papetti is best known for his soundtracks for Italian films and TV series of the 1960s and 1970s, often characterized by an easy listening sound with jazz and Latin influences. Among his most famous pieces are "Il cielo in una stanza", "La vita è bella" and "Un'emozione da poco". He collaborated with numerous Italian artists, including Mina, Adriano Celentano and Claudio Villa. Papetti won several awards for his music, including the Silver Ribbon for best soundtrack in 1968.
