Gianni Negri, all'anagrafe Giovanni Sambiase, nasce a Napoli il 13 giugno del 1980. La passione per la musica lo accompagna fin da bambino, influenzato dalla madre cantante che gli suggerisce di adottare il cognome d'arte «Negri». Studia Canto e Solfeggio, perfeziona le proprie abilità al pianoforte e alla chitarra, partecipando a numerosi concorsi ed eventi canori con successo. Nel gruppo vocale «Angeli Metropolitani», guidato da Gianfranco Caliendo (ex voce e chitarrista del Giardino dei Semplici), porta in giro per l'Italia spettacoli gospel. Nel 2003, con il brano «Solitudine», partecipano alla finale del Festival di San Marino. Gianni Negri collabora con vari musicisti come cantante ed autore e ricopre il ruolo di direttore artistico per numerosi eventi culturali. Nel 2007 presta la sua voce a Franky.
