Brutal Truth è una band di deathgrind statunitense proveniente da New York City, formatasi nel 1990 dal bassista Dan Lilker, ex membro di Anthrax, Nuclear Assault e Stormtroopers Of Death. Il gruppo si è sciolto nel 1999 ma si è riunito nel 2006 continuando a pubblicare nuova musica. Considerati pionieri del genere deathgrind, Brutal Truth sono noti per la loro musica aggressiva, veloce e brutale, caratterizzata da riff distorti, blast beat e testi provocatori. Lilker, figura chiave della scena hardcore newyorkese, ha contribuito a definire l'estetica e il sound di Brutal Truth, influenzando numerose band successive nel genere deathgrind e grindcore. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano 'Born Dead', 'The End Is Near' e 'Kill Yourself'.
