Pedro Martín José María Suárez-Vértiz Alva (Lima, 1960 – Lima, 2017) was a Peruvian guitarist, singer and songwriter. From 1985 to 1987 he was part of the musical group Paranoia, as composer and lead vocalist. In 1987 he founded the rock band Arena Hash, which achieved great success in Peru. After his experience with Arena Hash, Suárez Vértiz dedicated himself to a solo career as a musician and writer of poetry. Among his most well-known songs are "La chica de los ojos verdes", "El amor es un juego" and "No me digas adiós". His music has influenced several generations of Peruvian musicians.
