Sparta is an American band formed in El Paso, Texas, in 2001. The founding members are Jim Ward (vocalist/guitarist) and Tony Hajjar (drummer), both former members of the post-hardcore group At the Drive-In. Keeley Davis (guitarist) was the frontman of Engine Down. Sparta's musical style is classified as alternative rock, with influences from post-hardcore and progressive rock.
