Kommt immer blaß nach Haus, sieht so erbärmlich aus.
Nach einer Stunde blüht er wieder auf an seiner Werkbank.
Lötkolben, Zangen, Zwingen und Ahlen liegen gepflegt, teils geölt in Regalen, tausende Schrauben, Muttern, Ösen liegen sortiert nach entsprechenden Größen exakt beschriftet am richtigen Fleck in mir, seiner Werkbank.
Weil ich ihn locke aus seinem Bau, is' ´se stocksauer auf mich, die Frau.
Oben, da schläft sie nun.
Er hat noch viel zu tun.
Er muß das Blech noch mal überpolier'n an seiner Werkbank.
Zwei gold'ne Hände, sagt man, hat er.
Drum schleppt er dauernd irgendwas her.
Neulich der Räuchermann, dann war der Gameboy dran.
Heut hat er'n Messingtablett repariert an seiner Werkbank.
Keilriemen, Messer, olle Propeller, was alles schleppte er nicht in den Keller! Srechende Puppen, schweigende Hupen, klemmende Rolltreppen aus Puppenstuben.

's Tablett repariert, ´s Werkzeug liegt drin, sitzt er und geht nicht, seufzt vor sich hin.
Stiert mir ein Loch ins Holz, sonst war er doch so stolz! Jetzt legt er'n Kopf in die Arme und schluchzt an seiner Werkbank.
