The Korgis are a British pop band from Bristol, founded in 1978 by James Warren (vocals, guitar) and Andy Davis (keyboards). Warren and Davis had been members of the Stackridge in the 1970s. The band's name comes from Warren's use of a Korg synthesizer for his performances. The Korgis achieved international success with the single "Everybody's Got to Learn Sometime", released in 1980, which reached number two on the UK charts and placed in the top ten in several European countries. Other hits by the group include "If I Had You" and "Don't You Want Me". The Korgis' music is characterized by catchy melodies, synth-pop arrangements, and romantic lyrics. After their initial success, the band continued to release albums until 1985, but never reached the same level of popularity. James Warren went on to pursue a solo music career.
