Faces in a dream we are
Bodies found in a stolen car
Whispers from behind the wall
A picture in a crystal ball
As the incense slowly burns
Cold and still as daylight turns
From the night where we tried to hide
To reach out to the other side
All my memories fade so fast
Almost before the time has passed
Step off the number 22
With the beat and a rhyme for you
It's a feeling with no name
Helpless faces play the game
From the night when we tried to hide
To reach out to the other side
And on the other side of night
We carried on without the strength to fight
Soon we'll fade away, you'll see
To a face that calls like
Faces in a dream
Faces in a dream
Hurricane No. 1 were an indie/Britpop band formed in 1996. The group consisted of former Ride vocalist and guitarist Andy Bell, singer and guitarist Alex Lowe, bassist Will Pepper, and drummer Gareth Farmer. Their sound was characterized by catchy melodies, incisive guitar riffs, and introspective lyrics that reflected the melancholic atmosphere of Britpop at the time. The band released two studio albums: "The First Album" (1997) and "Hurricane No. 1" (1999). Among their most representative songs are "I Don't Want to Know", "You Can't Stop Me Now" and "She's Got a Smile". Despite critical acclaim, Hurricane No. 1 did not achieve the popularity of their Britpop contemporaries. After the release of the second album, the band disbanded in 2000.

My favorite group when I was just a teenager were the Fugees, thanks to them a certain curiosity about english language was born in me. I wanted to know and understand the lyrics of their songs, it wasn't enough for me to be carried away exclusively by their beautiful music.
