Manfred Mann's Earth Band is a British rock band formed in London in 1970. It emerged from the ashes of Manfred Mann's previous band, but adopted a different musical style, moving from pop to a jazzy and prog-rock sound. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1972, but success came in 1977 with "Blinded by the Light", a cover of Bruce Springsteen's 1973 track.
