Pierandrea Caricato, known professionally as Pierre, was born in Lecce, Italy on March 12, 1991. He began his musical career under the pseudonym Awes in 2006, releasing the mixtape "Tormenti", produced by StarzWorkzStudio, a local independent label. He collaborated with Salento artists such as Heav, Alessia Tondo, Zerotto and Khaf, performing in clubs and live events. In 2010 he released "Awesome", his second mixtape signed with DMRecords, a Leccese recording studio, with mixing and mastering by ManQC. This work features collaborations with Juan Cortez, Dirty Z-short, Lele D.Stifler, Farga, Zerotto and Arihanna. In 2011 he moved to Parma where he graduated and currently resides, coming into contact with the local music scene. He met DjOver, a Parmigiano producer and sound engineer, executive director of Understudio, where in 2016 he recorded and released "Drammaturgo - Atto 1°", a concept album and third mixtape. In 2020, a personal and artistic maturation led him to officially become Pierre. With this new name, he signed "Smog", his first official album produced in collaboration with Player One, a Sardinian producer who takes care of the entire instrumental part. This work also bears the Understudio mark and DjOver handles the mixing and mastering. The release of the album was accompanied by the music video for "Smog", the first track on the album, directed by Luciano Papangelo and Gianluca d'Elia. Also in 2020, during the pandemic, he released the single "Meteoriti", recorded in a home studio and produced by Player One. In 2021 he participated with a feature in the song "Bene", included in the first official album "Mai Troppo Tardi" by Jhon Bucco, a Salento artist. Subsequently, he released the single "Atene", whose base is again produced by Player One. The single was released along with a video directed by Luciano Papangelo. In March 2022, he released "Fiori del Male" prod. Player one.
