Anthony George Banks, known as Tony Banks, is a British musician born on March 7, 1952. He is primarily known for being the keyboardist, composer, and producer of the progressive rock band Genesis from 1967 to 1996 and again from 2007 to present. Banks helped define Genesis's sonic identity with his symphonic melodies and orchestral arrangements, influenced by classical composers like Bach and Debussy. Besides his work with Genesis, Banks has pursued a solo career releasing several albums of electronic and experimental music. Some of Tony Banks' most representative tracks include "The Musical Box", "Firth of Fifth" and "Land of Confusion". In 2013 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Genesis.
