Kurupt, real name Ricardo Emmanuel Brown, is an American rapper and record producer born in Long Beach, California, in 1973. Active since the late '90s, Kurupt rose to prominence as a member of the hip hop group Tha Dogg Pound, known for their G-funk style influenced by Dr. Dre. After collaborating with Snoop Dogg and other artists from Death Row Records, Kurupt embarked on a successful solo career, releasing albums such as "Tha Streetz Iz a Mutha" (1998) and "Space Boogie: Smoke Oddessey" (2000).
