Raphael Saadiq, born Charles Ray Wiggins, is an American singer, musician, record producer, and songwriter from Oakland, California, born in 1972. Considered one of the pillars of contemporary neo soul, he gained international fame in the 1990s as a member of the group Tony! Toni! Toné!, with whom he released three successful albums between 1990 and 1996.
