British Sea Power is a four-piece indie rock band based in Brighton, England, although three of the members originally hail from Kendal in Cumbria. Their sound ranges from sweeping, often epic, guitar pop to the visceral and angular, with influences spanning from The Cure and Joy Division to the Pixies.
