Chaos UK è una band punk hardcore inglese formatasi nel 1979 a Portishead, vicino a Bristol. Il gruppo ha inizialmente suonato un hardcore punk veloce e aggressivo, rivoluzionando la scena HC punk insieme a Disorder di Bristol e Discharge di Stoke-on-Trent. In particolare, le band giapponesi dell'HC punk degli anni '80 sono state pesantemente influenzate dall'approccio brutale di Chaos UK e Disorder. L'album di debutto del gruppo è stato notato per la dichiarazione dell'etichetta che lo definì «l'LP più veloce e rumoroso dell'universo» sulla rivista a breve vita «Punk Lives». Le parti vocali su questo album sono state anche gestite dal bassista Chaos. Nel corso degli anni, il sound di Chaos UK ha incorporato elementi di noise rock e post-punk, mantenendo sempre un'energia cruda e potente. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano 'The System', 'No Future' e 'Chaos'.
