Håkan Gessle is a Swedish singer-songwriter and guitarist born in Halmstad in 1960. He is best known as the co-founder of the music group Roxette, with whom he achieved international fame in the 1980s and 1990s. Gessle stands out for his catchy melodies, romantic lyrics, and distinctive vocal delivery. Besides his success with Roxette, Gessle has enjoyed a successful solo career, releasing several albums in Sweden and other European countries. Among his most famous songs are "Listen to Your Heart", "The Look", "It's Possible" (with Roxette) and "Hero" (from a solo album). Gessle is considered one of the most successful Swedish musical artists internationally.
