The Wedding Present is a British indie rock band formed in Leeds in 1985. The original lineup consisted of David Gedge (vocals, guitar) and Keith Gregory (bass), who had previously played together in the Lost Pandas. The band was completed by Simon Rogers on drums. Their music is characterized by catchy melodies, introspective lyrics, and a powerful guitar sound, influenced by post-punk and new wave. Among their most well-known songs are "Brassneck", "My Favourite Dress" and "Take Me Home".
