Ride were a British alternative rock band that formed in Oxford in 1988. The group consisted of Andy Bell (bass), Mark Gardener (vocals, guitar), Laurence "Loz" Colbert (guitar) and Steve Queralt (drums). They were part of the "shoegaze" scene, known for its introspective soundscapes and psychedelic atmospheres. Following their breakup in 1996, the members pursued solo projects or collaborations. Andy Bell became the bassist for Oasis, while the others continued to make music in various contexts. In 2001, the band reunited for a special television performance. Some of Ride's most representative songs include "Vapour Trail", "Leave Them All Behind" and "Twisterella".
