Georges Moustaki, nato Yussef Mustacchi ad Alessandria d'Egitto il 3 maggio 1934, è un cantautore francese di origine greco-sefaradita. Noto per il suo ritmo poetico, la sua semplicità eloquente e le centinaia di canzoni romantiche scritte, Moustaki ha collaborato con artisti come Edith Piaf, per cui ha composto brani celebri come «La Vie en rose». Il suo stile musicale è un mix di chanson francese, musica popolare greca e influenze mediorientali. Tra i suoi album più importanti si ricordano «Le Chant du Monde» (1967) e «Moustaki chante Moustaki» (1980). Tra le sue canzoni più rappresentative: «Le Môme Piaf», «La Ballade de la Rue des Amants», «L'Amour est un oiseau rebelle».
