Hope princeton road

It's always at sunset the Hope Princeton RoadYou come to mind and that lightens my load
The darkness is gathering the clouds overheadI'm thinking about you and something you saidThere's something you said that stands out in my mind
You said I was lonely that made me unkind
You said I should buck up and shoulder the road
Those words made some sense on the Hope Princeton RoadIt's always at sunset the Hope Princeton RoadSpirits are high but the ceiling is lowI'm anticipating your bright smiling face
The pleasures awaiting me inside your place
Well inside your place the'll be food and a drink
Something cool maybe a tonic I think
Or maybe some tunes on your new stereo
To counter the hum of the Hope Princeton RoadIt's always at sunset the Hope Princeton RoadMy heart beat is racing my speed is controlled
I know that you're waiting an hour ahead
But this part is endless you've oft heard it saidYou've oft head it said that life is a road
It turns and it straightens, it's fast and it's slow
But all that's no comfort for right now I know
My life is contained on the Hope Princeton RoadIt's always at sunset the Hope Princeton RoadYou come to mind and that lightens my load
The darkness is gathering the clouds overheadI'm thinking about you and something you saidThere's something you said that stands out in my mind
You said I was lonely that made me unkind
You said I should buck up and shoulder the road
Those words made some sense on the Hope Princeton Road

Biografia

James Keelaghan (born October 28, 1959) is a Juno award-winning Canadian folk singer-songwriter. Born in Calgary, Alberta and now based in Winnipeg, many of his songs, such as "Kiri's Piano", about the internment of Japanese Canadians, and "October 70", about the FLQ crisis, are inspired by events and figures in Canadian history. Known for his lilting baritone voice, his driving rhythm guitar, and a keen sense of scene and narrative, Keelaghan's music bridges traditional folk music with Canadiana. Among his most important albums are "The Road to Home" (1992) and "A Thousand Roads" (2003).
